About the Book

Whilst working in a traveling circus the photographer journeyed to the tip of Yunnan Province, southwest China to help teach skills to local young people as they prepared for a circus show for their friends and family. The prevalence of HIV is proportionally high in this area, due to heroin trafficking in the areas usually called “The Golden Triangle” and the young people use art and performance to combat these issues. The photographer, Roobén Goode, is ten years old.
